This model is intended to be the "Restaurant" component of a larger "Play-Doh Town" playset.
The mechanism has interchangeable molds that let the user "mold" different shapes of food.
Tools/Skills- Solidworks, Laser Cutter, 3-D Printer.
The play-pattern is as follows"
The user inserts the Mold of their choice into the Mold Holder.
A portion of Play-Doh is placed on the Serving Table.
The Serving Table is pushed back, and automatically locked into place.
The Handle is cranked down to "mold" the 'Doh.
The gear system on the Molding Press is designed to give approximately 65mm of throw from a 90-degree rotation of the Handle.
When the Handle is cranked back up, approximately 50% through the return travel, the Serving Table is released to shoot forward.
During the forward travel, a geared surface on the Serving Table engages a small section of Gear-rack to impart spin on the table.
